Senior Engineer (S-3)

Job responsibilities of Senior Engineer – Design Engineering

1. Perform Profiling, Stringing Chart and Tower Scheduling activities of transmission lines from 132 kV to 765 KV  as per instructions from Project Lead Engineer within stipulated timelines.
2. Perform sag tension calculations as per technical specifications and requirements.
3. Co-ordinate with other Engineers/ Surveyors/ Client/ Project / Site Team in Transmission Line team for collaborative work.
4.  Develop profile ensuring conformance to requirements of technical specification and approved design input.
5. Develop proposals such as Power Line, Railway Crossing, River Crossing, Revetment and Benching, Leg Extension etc. as per site requirements.
6. Participate in Department Training plans and successfully complete the Training Evaluation Tests
7. Learn the Software Tools, work processes, Quality procedures required to perform the Transmission Line Engineering tasks.
8. Pre bid survey for route finalization and tower quantity estimation to Support BD Team for Pre Bid Survey during Tender stage.
9. Preparation and submission of As Built Drawings during Project execution stage.

Performance Indicatiors
1. Timely completion of Activities as per schedule.
2. Quality of Engineering activities assessed by Technical Audits- NCRs

Competencies/Skills/Abilities

a) Optimization of tower quantities during tender/order stage.
b) Preparation of Tower Profile, Stringing Chart using various software.
c) Prepare of Tower Schedule.
d) Proficient knowledge of Softwares (Eg: PLS Tower, I tower, PLS CADD, Auto Cad, MS Excel, etc.). Candidate having experience in profiling from LIDAR Data to be preferred.
e) Interaction with Clients for Approvals during bidding and execution stage.
