Job Description: Environmental Engineer (EPC)
The Environmental Engineer will be responsible for ensuring all Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project activities comply with environmental laws, standards, and sustainability goals. The role includes conducting environmental impact assessments, developing mitigation plans, and monitoring site compliance throughout the project lifecycle. The engineer will work closely with project, HSE, and construction teams to implement best environmental practices and ensure timely approvals from regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and prepare environmental management plans for EPC projects.
- Ensure compliance with national and local environmental regulations, permits, and industry standards.
- Monitor construction site activities, identifying and mitigating environmental risks (air, water, soil, waste).
- Coordinate with regulatory authorities for environmental clearances and audits.
- Develop and implement waste management, pollution control, and sustainability initiatives.
- Prepare periodic environmental reports, documentation, and compliance records.
- Provide environmental training and awareness to project and site teams.
- Support the project team during design reviews with environmental inputs and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
- Experience in EPC, infrastructure, oil & gas, or industrial projects preferred.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, EIA processes, and compliance requirements.
- Good analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
