Job Description

Position: Deputy Manager – Civil Quality
Experience: 5–10 Years
Qualification: BE / BTech – Civil Engineering
Key Skills: QA/QC Systems, Quality Audits, Quality Analysis, Civil Construction Quality

Job Purpose

To manage and drive QA/QC activities for civil works at project sites, ensuring compliance with specifications, standards, and client requirements, while continuously improving quality performance.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Coordinate with Client/PMC and project teams on all quality-related matters.

Quality Management System (QMS)

  • Implement and maintain QMS across the project.
  • Ensure availability and control of QA/QC procedures, QC plans, and work instructions.
  • Conduct internal audits and ensure timely closure of observations.

QA/QC Documentation

  • Review, develop, and update QA/QC procedures, method statements, and Project Quality Plan (PQP).
  • Issue controlled copies of approved quality documents.

Materials & Workmanship

  • Manage approvals for concrete mix designs, GSB, DLC, PQC, and related civil works.
  • Possess strong hands-on experience in FM2 flooring and industrial building projects (minimum 3 years).
  • Ensure adequacy of laboratory facilities and testing equipment.

NCR & Corrective Actions

  • Manage NCRs, conduct RCA, and ensure timely closure of client and internal observations.

Reporting & Communication

  • Prepare monthly quality reports highlighting performance, NCRs, audits, and improvements.
  • Lead quality-related discussions and brainstorming sessions.

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in quality processes and workmanship.

Desired Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of civil quality standards and specifications.
  • Proven experience in industrial buildings, FM2 flooring, and PQC works.
  • Expertise in NCR management, RCA, audits, and documentation.
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Proactive and improvement-oriented mindset.
