Deputy Manager - EHS

Job Summary

The EHS Officer will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) standards at the project/site to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company policies. The role involves proactive risk management, safety culture development, and continuous improvement of EHS performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce EHS policies, procedures, and safe work practices at the site.
• Ensure compliance with applicable statutory, legal, and regulatory EHS requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments; identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor EHS performance and ensure adherence to safety standards.
• Organize and conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and EHS training programs.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare reports and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Maintain EHS documentation, permits, records, and statutory registers.
• Support emergency preparedness, mock drills, and crisis management activities.
• Coordinate with operations, engineering, and project teams to integrate EHS requirements into daily activities.
