Overall purpose and objective of this position

Support the Head of Contracts in the Analysis and Optimization of Operational Risks in potential business areas and Forecasting and Mitigating Risks during Project Execution

Major responsibilities and function of this position

Business Development - Analysis of Tender, Critical Conditions affecting the Contract Performance and Financials , Framing up pre-bid MOU for effective transfer or sharing of Risks and Liabilities.                                                                                                              Project Execution -  Supporting the Project Manager in finalizing the Contract Agreement with the Client, Project Variance Analysis and Management, Project Financial Analysis, Project Risks and Mitigation Strategies, Extra Claims Management, Project Closure , Critical Sub-Contract Issues affecting the Project, Dispute Resolutions with Client and Sub-Contractors

Work experience, special
training and / or level of
education necessary for
this position

Experience (Between 8 to 15 Years): Project Management,  Project Coordination, Project Planning, Project Procurement, Tendering and Estimation                                                                                                                  Academics: Engineer as a basic qualification and  preferably wih a diploma / degree in Financial Management

Competencies required for the job

Basic Technical Knowledge to understand the Business and Scope of Work. In-depth understanding of the Commercial Conditions of Contract - their Administration and Impact in the Operations. Ability to correlate the general technical requirements and correlate with the commercial impacts as per contract provisions. Identify and assess the variances between agreed and actual conditions and forecasting impacts.

Analytical Approach to assess and resolve situations of disputes and crisis

Coordination and Communication (oral and written) skills

Negotiation skills to arrive at optimized solutions
