Job reposnsibilities of Senior Manager - Material Management

As regional Lead (Material Management) for all T&D Stores.

1. Principal Accountability

• Project Site store Mobilization & De-Mobilization activities.
• Ensuring Implementation of Store Controls & SOP across the project store.
• Ensuring conflict resolution by discussing with other cross functional department.
• Processing Scrap disposal of project stores as per defined SOP.
• Circulation of HO Stores MIS , Monitoring and compliance.
• Responsible for Monthly Stores transaction reconciliation & Closing as per defined process.
• Responsible for monitoring of Physical Asset Verification / Physical Material Verification
• External / internal Auditor compliance after review with HO stores Head & Team
• Coordination with Site Project stores, Site PIC to understand & resolution of project stores issue.
• Discussion & Review with HO stores head & Regional Head.
• Proper storage of construction material as per preservation manuals.
• Periodically review the GRN, Goods inward register & another document for Correctness.
• To ensure proper issue and reconciliation of the inventory physical as well as in system/books

2. Roles and Responsibilities :

• Responsible for ensuring supply chain operations (Receipt, Storage and Distribution of goods)
• Ensure material optimization projects plant level for better material utilization
• Responsible for achieving sleek inventories by minimizing slow/nonmoving stocks
• Responsible for deriving root causes and implementing action towards reducing material stock Variance.
• Following standard operating procedures as per ISO standard
• Responsible for ensuring effective Training and development of the workforce
• Responsible for enhancing skill level of the employees through which achieving higher efficiencies.
• To plan and carry out all scrap Sales activities as per the system and procedures.
• Effective control of day to day operations at all project sites and O&M locations.
• Plan and allocate staff/Operators for if any new assignment given by management
• Control of documents and records
• Inventory management exposure to manage all items
• Physical stock checking/variance as per timelines
• Preparing reports like monthly MIS, reporting deviations and control measures to meet organization KPIs
• Ensure Min-Max Control implemented @ Site.
• Knowledge on process management through SAP like GRN/Issue/Reporting & Control T codes etc.
• Should have fair idea of purchase process & logistics
• Have seamless communication with all internal stake holders like users, purchase & finance
• Understanding of ERP, Microsoft Excel, Word & Powerpoint (MS Office)

3. Site Monitoring & Control

• Receiving and unloading of Construction Material at the project site.
• Maintain the inward and outward register of the project material.
• Preparation of GRN of incoming Material and processing for bill payment.
• Ensure material/item is approved by the quality department before accepting it for storage.
• Issue of material to contractor against SO and ensure standard procedures are followed and booking in SAP.
• Ensure all materials in stores/stockyards are stacked and stored as per the standard storing procedure.
• Ensure all hazardous material is handled carefully as per environment, health, and safety norms.
• Ensure appropriate manual/mechanical methods are adopted when; loading, unloading, shifting, and placing the material/item in stores/stockyard to ensure the safety of personal and material/item.
• Regular co-ordination with user dept. for the planning of material requirements.
• Guide the store lead for compliance of Internal & External Audit
• Circulation of MIS from HO across the site ensure compliance
