Job responsibilities of Manager (Contracts) : 

Role and Responsibility:
 Prepare Change Order Proposal (COP) /Extension of Time (EOT) and NFA for variation in scope.
 Settlement of disputes arising during and post award of the Contracts. Prepare delay analysis to calculate number of days of delays attributable to both the parties and suggest management for accurate amount of LD to be imposed or waved off.
 Issue documents as per Contracts for final closure.
 Prepare final reconciliation statement for final bill settlement.
 Analysis of claims submitted by contractors. Preparing report to present to the management for acceptance/rejection of the claim.
 Contractual correspondence with the contractors pertaining to construction schedules Bank Guarantees quality of work deviations, hindrances recoveries penalties insurance policies other statutory requirements, etc.
 Preparing risk register and provide possible mitigation major.
 Preparing presentation on Power Point for higher management’s review meetings.
 Conducting Kick Off Meetings(KOM) with cross functional team.
 Handling contractual obligations arising out of Bank Guarantees (BGs).
 Prepare, track and maintain MIS of all related documents.Prepare tender documents and participating in tender opening meetings.
 Drafting letters to the Contractors against their claim.
 Conducting delay analysis and preparing risk management report for assisting project manager for countering future mishaps.
 Reconciliation of the project for preparation of settlements.Prepare tender documents and participating in tender opening meetings.
• Preparing quantity and rate comparison/variation of various tender items Schedule as per latest approved drawings by client for review of tendered quantity and rates quoted.
• Preparing rate analysis for Non-tendered items.
• Preparing RA bill of work executed at site by contractor and submitting it in Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. (RVNL), Ahmedabad for further approval and reviews.
• Risk assessment.
• Making Plans with use of MS Project and Excel.
• Claim management.
• Analyzing various risk associated with the work or upcoming activities and preparing mitigation plan.
• Analyzing various resources for the upcoming activities with justification and producing it in the periodic meeting with management and client.
• Preparing extension of time report with reference to the minutes of meeting generated during meeting with client and contractor.
• Dispute resolution/Arbitration/Settlement.
