Key Responsibilities:
- Design Development:
- Perform heat load calculations, equipment sizing, and duct/pipe routing/ Shaft sizing etc., using tools like HAP, Revit, and AutoCAD.
- Prepare detailed HVAC design drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Ensure designs comply with ASHRAE, ISHRAE, NFPA, and local codes.
- Coordination & Documentation:
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other MEP disciplines for integrated design solutions.
- Review shop drawings and ensure alignment with design intent.
- Prepare BOQs, technical reports, and design presentations for client approvals.
- Energy Efficiency & Sustainability:
- Incorporate green building principles and energy-efficient technologies in designs.
- Conduct feasibility studies for innovative HVAC solutions.
- Quality Assurance:
- Validate designs through simulations and performance analysis.
- Support value engineering exercises to optimize cost without compromising quality.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 8–10 years of experience in HVAC design for commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in HVAC design software (HAP, Revit, AutoCAD) and MS Office.
- Strong knowledge of ASHRAE, ISHRAE, NFPA, and local building codes.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in large-scale projects such as airports, hospitals, or data centers.
- Familiarity with BIM workflows and sustainable design practices.
