Position Summary
The EHS Lead will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring Environment, Health & Safety programs across project sites to ensure compliance with statutory regulations, client requirements, and company EHS standards. The role requires strong leadership in promoting a zero-harm culture, risk management, and continuous improvement in safety performance.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and management systems across projects. Ensure compliance with applicable environmental, health, and safety laws, regulations, and client standards. Lead safety inspections, audits, hazard identification, and risk assessments. Drive incident prevention programs and investigate accidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions. Monitor environmental compliance, including waste management, emissions, and sustainability initiatives. Conduct safety training, inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs. Establish emergency preparedness and response plans and conduct mock drills. Track key EHS KPIs and prepare reports for management and clients. Liaise with regulatory authorities, clients, and internal stakeholders on EHS matters. Mentor and manage EHS teams across multiple sites/projects. Support HAZOP, JSA, PTW, LOTO, confined space, work-at-height, and contractor safety programs.
Experience & Education
18+ years of experience in EHS management within large industrial, infrastructure, semiconductor, EPC, manufacturing, or construction projects. Proven experience managing EHS functions for large-scale greenfield or brownfield projects. Strong knowledge of statutory safety regulations and international EHS standards. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Science or related discipline. Diploma/Degree in Industrial Safety, Environmental Management, or equivalent. Certified Safety Professional qualifications preferred (NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO 45001/14001 Lead Auditor, etc.).
