Deputy Manager - Engineering

We are seeking an experienced Tunnel Design Engineer with 10–12 years of expertise in the design and analysis of underground structures including bored tunnels, NATM/SEM tunnels, and cut‑and‑cover systems. The role involves leading geotechnical–structural design, performing advanced numerical modelling, preparing detailed design deliverables, and supporting construction teams with technical guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop structural and geotechnical designs for tunnels (NATM and TBM), station boxes, shafts, and underground structures.
• Perform FEM/FDM analyses using PLAXIS, FLAC3D, MIDAS GTS/NX, ABAQUS or similar tools.
• Interpret geotechnical investigation data and develop ground models.
• Prepare design reports, calculations, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Provide construction-stage support: method statements, sequencing, temporary works, and site queries.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in client/consultant meetings.

Required Skills & Experience

• B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Civil/Geotechnical/Structural Engineering.
• 10–12 years of experience in tunnel and underground structure design.
• Strong understanding of tunnel support systems, lining design, and ground–structure interaction.
• Proficiency in numerical modelling and relevant design codes (IS, IRC, Eurocodes, ITA guidelines).
• Strong communication, documentation, and problem‑solving abilities.

Preferred Experience

• Metro rail, highway, water conveyance, or utility tunnels.
• Seismic analysis, deep excavation design, and I&M monitoring.
