Main Duties:

  1. Overall Responsibilities
  • Perform Global Planning/Scheduling Software (P6) & Interfacing Set Up
  • Support developing Planning/Scheduling systems, Preparation and administration of overall Project Plans and Schedules, Integration of the Project Schedule in conjunction with the discipline engineers, construction and Project Managers, specialists and other project staff applicable.
  • Schedule Coordination with the Client and Internal Project Team Members, Vendors and Sub-contractors.
  • Support developing, status and presenting planning/schedule reports, Progress presentation in live meeting e.g. S-Curves, planning analysis and recommendations, forecast data and other information as required/needed. Report to management on project issues in liaison/alignment with the Project Manager.
  • To have full understanding of the scope of work for the assigned.
  • Review with the relevant Project Staff, analysis and validation of schedules submitted by contractors, monitoring actual progress, comparison to baseline and reporting progress against schedule, Analysis and reporting on productivity and trends,  Forecasting the impact on schedule of proposed changes.
  • Prepare the Critical Path Activities and support the Critical Path review
  • Prepare the Key Client Decision Matrix
  • Conducts and support Interactive Planning Session (IAP)
  • Schedule Data archiving for KPI’s/efficiency calculations. Etc.
  • Developing Manpower/Man-hours forecast as per scheduling activities in Program/projects. Provides and Status Manpower Histogram. (Prepare estimates if required and if QS or WPO does not have any information)
  • Identify all potential project schedule risks and risk mitigation plans/work around in liaise with the WPO/DL/CM and PM.
  • Perform Project Control Function (if required)
  1. Engineering & Procurement Stage (same as item 1 plus below items)
  • Develop the Engineering Baseline Schedule
  • Establish the Deliverable Tracking System
  • Update/Status/Track and Monitor the Key Milestone Dates, Interdisciplinary Need Dates and the Deliverable Tracking List. Track the Logic link and eventual consequences between Engineering, Procurement & Construction activities.
  • Develop Procurement Baseline Schedule (Populating the Procurement Matrix)
  • Lead &/or Assist the Procurement Team in Maintaining/Managing the Procurement Matrix.
  1. Construction & Commissioning Stage (same as item 1 plus below items)
  • Develop Construction L3 Schedule and update as per agreed frequency (e.g. bi-weekly, monthly)
  • Preparing manpower histogram.
  • Prepare the Construction Look Ahead Schedules, Mitigation and Recovery Schedule in close coordination with relevant parties.
  • Construction Progress Joint Walk Through/ Walk Down and Schedule/progress Meetings.
  • Develop/Update and Status of the Commissioning Schedule, including System handover and Room handover in liaise with the relevant parties.
  • Prepare Progress Presentations in all Meetings.
  • Monitor Manpower actual cost/forecast from the original baseline in liaison with the PM and Cost Control.
  • Track / Monitor Efficiency, Earned Value by working closely with the Cost Control to ensure accuracy of the report.
  • Assist Project Control Manager in EOT supporting documents preparations
  1. Closeout Stage
  • Check and ensure that all Schedule are As-Built, and are closed for all project
  • Provide lesson learn presentation for scheduling processes 
  • Archive all Schedule Data.

 

Other Duties:

  • Employee must follow the Company Policy and Guild-lines.
  • Employee are expected to follow direct supervisor request on daily work assignment.
  • Planning & Scheduling Department Manager is the authority line for all matters
  • Employee are responsible and accountable for their work.
  • Require to support On-site and Off-site Schedule control activities, which may require travel
  • All employee must be on time for work.

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies (skills):

Minimum Qualification

Minimum Years of Experience

 

  • Degree in Construction Management/ Building Sciences/Mechanical/ Engineering.
  • 5 to 15 years of professional working experience in project planning/ scheduling

Types of Experience

 

  • Experience in working with project managers in the construction industry.
  • Experience in construction planning related to industrial building facility.
  • Experience in ATF – cleanrooms construction.
  • Experience in construction of commercial highrise buildings inclusive of residentials, hotels and mall.
