Position Summary

We are looking for a Planning  professional to manage Project planning monitoring & control and vendor management across our Data Center operations. The role plays a key part in project planning & controls utilization, optimizing costs, and ensuring financial performance.

Responsibilities

1) Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop and maintain integrated baseline schedules (L1–L5) in Primavera P6, aligned with WBS/CBS, contractual milestones, and procurement/long-lead sequences (generators, UPS, chillers, PDUs, switchgear, racks, prefabricated modules, containment).
  • Build activity logic to reflect critical-path and near-critical interfaces across civil → MEP rough-in → white space → I&C → SAT/FAT → IST.
  • Create phase-wise commissioning schedules including FAT, SAT, IST, black start, redundancy and failover testing windows.

2) Progress, Forecasting & Control

  • Prepare weekly/monthly progress updates, performance dashboards (SPI/CPI, float consumption, S-curve, manpower histograms) and EVM-based forecasts (time & cost).
  • Conduct delay analysis (TIA/Windows/As-Planned vs As-Built), propose recovery/acceleration plans, and maintain risk-adjusted forecasts.
  • Track procurement/expediting of long-lead items; integrate vendor manufacturing and factory testing timelines into the master schedule.

3) Risk & Change

  • Facilitate schedule risk analysis (qualitative; quantitative if applicable) and embed mitigations into plans.
  • Control baselines and manage change impacts (VOs/COs), with forensic analysis for EOT and claims support per contract (e.g., FIDIC/EPC).

4) Coordination & Stakeholder Management

  • Chair look-ahead planning sessions and pull-planning (if Lean) with GC/EPC, MEP trades, OEMs, Commissioning Authority, and client.
  • Ensure alignment between design deliverables, BIM 4D sequences, site logistics, method statements, and testing/commissioning windows.
  • Interface with finance/commercial for cash flow, WIP, and revenue recognition alignment.

5) Reporting & Governance

  • Issue client-ready reports: milestone status, risk heatmaps, traffic-light KPIs, critical/near-critical paths, and commissioning readiness.
  • Maintain planning governance: schedule health checks, logic integrity (DCMA 14‑point style), coding/filters, and audit trails.

Experience & Education

  • 5–12 years of experience in MEP Planning
  • Strong financial modelling, budgeting, and data analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of DC operations metrics (PUE, uptime tiers, load factors).
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Qualification: B.Tech/BE or MBA preferred.
  • Tata Projects values diversity, equity, and inclusion and does not discriminate based on race, religion, color, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
