Major responsibilities and function of this position
|
Expertise in any of the following areas with adequate exposure to other areas :
1) Coal handling and other material handling packages like Ash, fuel and Mill Rejects.
In depth knowledge of various plant / equipment such as coal conveyors, paddle feeders, crushers, stacker relaimers, wagon tipplers, coal feeders, etc.
2) Rotating equipment such as BFP pumps, Fans (FD, ID, PA) and Power Cycle Equipment (TG, Boiler and its auxiliaries, feed heaters, etc.)
3) Preparation of Plot Plan, TG & Boiler Plant Layout, Detailed Layout drawings of BOP Systems. Engineering of HP and large diameter LP piping including material selection, pipe sizing. Experience in preparation of piping layout, isometrics, selection of supports and hangers, knowledge of stress analysis, preparation of fabrication drawings, etc.
Knowledge of IBR & approval procedures.
4) Circulating Cooling Water, Raw Water Systems and associated plant / equipment like Cooling Towers, Pumps, Heat Exchangers. Fire Fighting Systems including fire detection and protection equipment involving Hydrant, Spray Water and Portable Fire Fighting Equipment. Knowledge of other systems like HVAC, Compressed air,, H2 generation plant, workshop equipment, EOT cranes, lifts and hoists.

education necessary for
this position
|
Desired Profile Graduate in Mechanical Engineering with 18 to 30 Years of experience in Power Projects / Industrial Water Systems and proficiency in basic engineering, process design, calculations, equipment sizing, preparation of purchase specifications, technical evaluation of the bids, participation in technical meetings with vendors and clients / consultants, vendor document review / approval and site technical support. Candidates should have good process knowledge, analytical capabilities and should be well versed with Indian / International design standards, codes and latest software packages.
