Major responsibilities and function of this position |
Planning, execution, monitoring for: Issue and approval of Engg. Documentation to Client/Consultant/Site office: Indenting of material/equipment for the project: technical scrutiny of offers and providing tech. evaluation; expediting material procurement and delivery process. Co-ordination with following departments: Supply chain Management for PO placements: Fleet Management for transportation of material: Engineering groups for clarifications with respect to budgeting : QS & vendors for progress monitoring/ Inspection Expediting: site office for updation of material receipts; Finance group for billing on customer and certification of issue of as Built documents , O&M manuals; review of progress with respect to time and cost over runs and providing feedback to concerned groups. responding to queries of customer/consultant, registration and resolution of customer complaints; Identifying work simplification/improvements in systems and packages ; ensuring payment received ; Guiding Jr engineers at site |

Competencies required for the job |
Knowledge: Power plant engineering, Construction, Commissiong, Planning sequence for materials /equipments; Basic Mech/ Electrical engineering concepts: Planning tools, eg. MS Projects, Primavera, Financial aspects concerning taxation, Duties, Rates. technical knowledge specific to systems, package equipments : Interface engineering requirement such as Elect. Load equipment, instrumentation hookups, reading of schematic drawings and instruction manuals. |
