Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution

  • Prepare construction schedules and allocate work fronts to subcontractors.
  • Ensure timely execution of foundation, erection, and stringing activities as per approved drawings and standards.
  • Monitor project milestones and maintain adherence to project timelines and deadlines.

2. Supervision & Quality Management

  • Ensure quality control of all site activities (foundation, tower erection, stringing) in compliance with technical specifications and industry standards.
  • Conduct inspections, maintain checklists, and verify measurements as per protocols.
  • Implement proper construction methodologies and best practices on site.

3. Progress Monitoring & Reporting

  • Prepare and update Daily Progress Reports (DPR) and share with the Project In‑Charge.
  • Coordinate with site supervisors, team members, and client representatives regularly.
  • Maintain accurate documentation—MB (Measurement Book), Joint Measurement Certificates, and site records.

4. Material & Resource Management

  • Track monthly material consumption for various activities and reconcile quantities against subcontractor RA bills.
  • Coordinate vendor resource allocation such as workforce, vehicles, and machinery as per contract requirements.
  • Ensure optimum utilization of manpower at various activity stages.

5. Permissions & Clearances

  • Coordinate with the client and authorities for Right of Way (ROW) clearance and site access.

6. Billing & Estimation

  • Handle RA billing processes including verification of claimed quantities, measurement validation, and checklist preparation.
  • Assist in budgeting, estimation, and preparation of monthly cost reports.

7. Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure implementation of safety standards and guidelines across all site activities.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and ensure compliance with safety norms by all workforce and subcontractors.

8. Coordination & Communication

  • Maintain effective communication with management, clients, vendors, senior authorities, and colleagues.
  • Prepare agenda and documentation for project review meetings.

Additional JD Pointers (Added for Enhancement)

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, tower schedules, and structural designs.
  • Hands‑on experience with survey tools such as total station, GPS, and line profiling.
  • Familiarity with IS/IEC standards for transmission line construction.
  • Problem‑solving ability to handle on‑site challenges and ensure smooth execution.
  • Strong understanding of HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) protocols.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD (preferred), and project reporting tools.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and manage remote site locations.
