Job Responsibilities of QMD Manager at Site :

Site Quality Control and Inspection
Monitored and evaluated the quality performance of contractors and subcontractors.
Inspected site activities, issued observations/NCRs, and ensured rectification.
Developed and reviewed pouring plans for large-scale concreting operations.
Controlled and maintained concrete quality at batching plants and sites, including moisture corrections and slump control.
Coordinated with plant operators to ensure cohesive mix design and adherence to specifications.
Inspected PQC, road works, pile foundation activities, and load tests as per MORT&H and IS standards.
Supervised density tests (core cutting and sand replacement methods) for soil compaction verification.
Ensured proper methodology and work instructions were followed during execution.
Laboratory and Testing
Managed all quality lab operations: mix design, raw material testing, soil/sub-base testing, and cement analysis.
Supervised advanced concrete testing: Rebound Hammer, Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity, Core Cutting.
Reviewed and maintained traceability of all third-party lab test reports and certifications
Conducted soil investigations: Proctor test, Atterberg’s limits, CBR, sieve analysis, and soil classification.
Verified and approved Manufacturer’s Test Certificates (MTCs) for cement, steel, admixtures, and chemicals.
Ensured regular calibration of batching plants, lab equipment, and measuring instruments.
Client, Consultant and Reporting
Attended client/consultant meetings, presenting project quality status and issue resolutions.
Coordinated with consultants for preparation and closure of defects/punch lists.
Obtained and maintained source approvals from clients for vendors and materials
Prepared and presented monthly quality reports and dashboards to senior management.
Coordinated with clients on pouring activities and approvals.
Leadership, Training and Continuous Improvement
Led and managed a team of QA/QC engineers, lab technicians, and site staff.
Conducted quality training, toolbox talks, and workforce inductions to build quality culture.
Guided and mentored junior engineers and site staff on quality and safety practices.
Applied Kaizen and continuous improvement techniques to enhance efficiency and reduce defects.
Actively contributed to client satisfaction and defect-free project delivery.
